Molesworth Street

Located around 5 minutes from Rochdale Town Centre, our project at Molesworth Street caters to women and children who are homeless or at risk of losing their current accommodation with nowhere else to go.

Developed in 2023, a brand-new extension to our existing emergency accommodation with 6 family sized rooms and ample lounge and dining spaces is now in use exclusively for females and children. We recognised that refuge accommodation is limited and not always available when women need it, they are consequently placed in mixed hotels until they wait for a refuge space to become available.

This project primarily focusses on single mothers who are fleeing domestic abuse and have no form of accommodation. We aim to provide emergency shelter along with basic necessities needed to survive for both mother and child(ren).

Some of the amenities we offer at the Molesworth Street project include:

• 6 rooms
• High Quality accommodation across two floors.
  • (6 large family rooms all equipped with modern en-suite bathrooms, TV and Wi-Fi connection as well as personal fridge, microwave and cupboard space)
• Ample communal lounge space with dining area on both floors.
• Fully fitted with CCTV in the communal areas and external grounds, monitored by staff 24 hours.
• Storage facilities for personal belongings (must be pre-arranged).
• Laundry room
• One to one domestic abuse support available if required with trained domestic abuse worker.
• Advice and assistance with linking in with additional support such as social services etc.
• Taxi service and removals can be arranged if required.
• Assistance with move on into PRS accommodation within the local and neighbouring areas.
