Our Projects

Development Areas

Charity Room 2

We have highly qualified staff who work on a one-to-one basis with each resident to provide support. We also work alongside local partner agencies to deliver some of our work. Listed below are some of the key areas that we can work on and improve with our tenants:

  • Assistance with accessing welfare benefits and grants – all residents will need to have their income in place before they can begin with the rest of their housing plan. Our housing support staff can assist with welfare advice and applying for benefits
  • Managing finance, debt problems and help with cost of living – we provide debt advice services and refer to other organisations for larger scale debts. We will assist residents to complete a debt management plan and help them to make repayments on their priority debts, give advice on financial management and help develop budgeting skills
  • Help with CV building, finding voluntary and paid employment and access education and training.
  • Tenancy management areas- paying utilities, food shopping, budgeting, healthy eating and cooking meals from scratch, growing own vegetables, recycling and reducing waste, upcycling.
  • Social, emotional and relationship support – focusing on healthy friendships, mediation with family if needed, developing healthy minds and emotional wellbeing, offering assistance with counselling and coaching if needed
  • Access to peer mentors to help with recovery from alcohol/drug misuse and mental health issues
  • Support to develop shared living skills and help accessing long term suitable accommodation, and guidance on how to maintain a tenancy
  • Help and support for vulnerable groups such as prison leavers, refugees and victims of domestic abuse, assisting them with successful integration into society.
